BODEGAS GARGALLO S.L. – Pack Catering

Bodegas Gargallo is a company that demonstrates a family’s commitment, over the course of five decades and three generations, to the highest quality standards in order to provide their customers with a unique experience for their palates. It has four brick-and-mortar stores as well as an online store where they offer hams and premium delicatessen foods, wines and all types of gourmet products.
Given the varied demand from their customers for this wide range of products and services, they decided to request a design for multi-purpose packaging for shipping, catering and collection in store.

Structural Design. This packaging consists of a tray and a lid with an innovative closed area. For the lid, we designed some tear strips that create pieces that fit into central orifices along the longitudinal end of the tray. These act as a guarantee and safety seal that, once the piece is inserted, create a perfect closure that is difficult to force.

Another virtue of the pack is that, since it has a base and a lip, it can be reused if the user has not eaten all of the products that were in it.

These two pieces are made of corrugated cardboard that are thick enough to support the weight of the products and the possible movements of the deliveries. The lamination offers a premium appearance and guarantees optimum conservation and presentation of the products.

The light and plain colours chosen make the pack look bright and sophisticated, thus showing the brand values.
For the final result, we obtained a pack that met the customer’s expectations for products and services.

Production Management. We managed the production of the packaging, generating the technical sheets for the project and maintaining direct communication with the factory to collaborate and allow the customer to obtain the result expected for both structural design and graphics, thus achieving personalised packaging for food that is functional and elegant.
